I acknowledge with pride that I have known Mr. Suresh Gehani and Mr. Palaniappan since the year 2002. They were then with ICRA Advisory Services, and I was at the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC). Subsequently, after I became Chairman of Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission (UERC) in 2007, ABPS Infra provided consultancy services to UERC in various matters. Thus, my association with ABPS Infra has been a long and fruitful one since 2002. It was a big help to be able to rely on the assistance of ABPS Infra in several matters faced by the DERC and UERC during my tenure at these institutions.

I left UERC in December 2010 to join APTEL as Technical Member till December 2013. However, ABPS Infra has been providing consultancy services to UERC on regular basis till today. I have always been impressed with their professional attitude, commitment to quality, and opinions on the issues concerned. Their inputs have enriched the formulation of the evolving regulatory framework in the State of Uttarakhand. Even during my stay in APTEL and after my retirement from APTEL in December 2013, I continue to have stimulating discussions with ABPS Infra on various topics concerning the power sector. I have been happy to be so closely associated with ABPS Infra’s journey from a niche Firm to becoming one of the leading Consulting Firm sin the power sector. I wish them more success, and I am sure that they will reach greater heights.
